Sunday School
We believe here at Calvary Chapel that the children are the most precious asset in the eyes of God. We put great emphasis on providing for their spiritual needs from the youngest of them through our young adults. The role of Children''s ministry is to enable people to use their gifts in areas of passion to produce benefits that spill into the home, the market place and the church itself. Our classrooms provide a nurturing environment of faith, love and spiritual growth so that the emerging generation of Calvary''s children will be all that their creator intends them to be.
The foundation of our children's Sunday School program is the development of compassion and respect. We turn to God's word for instruction, and look to Jesus and His love for all people. The children that are entrusted to our care will be taught loving and Godly characteristics to prepare them for dealing with everyday situations. Calvary Chapel East Mountain faculty are called by Jesus Christ, and are qualified, professional and motivated servants, dedicated to the education and spiritual growth of your children.
We will teach your children to honor God and equip them to discuss why they love Jesus to anyone that they have an opportunity to talk too. Functioning as an extension of the Christian home, we support parents who seek to obey biblical instruction, which gives them ultimate responsibility for the education of their children (Deut. 6:7-8). We offer a curriculum that is based solely on the bible, which is the standard for all truth.
The basic of our philosophy is our belief in God the father, Jesus Christ our savior, the Holy Spirit and God's Word-the bible. We believe in the authority, authenticity and reliability of the bible as the complete and final revelation of God concerning all matters of faith, truth and practice.
“Then a dispute arose among them as to which of them would be greatest. And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a little child and set him by Him, and said to them, ““Whoever receives this little child in My Name receives Me; and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me. For he who is least among you all will be great.”” Luke 9:46-48
Nursery
At all of our services, we offer nursery care for new borne through two year olds. The main function of the nursery is to allow parents time for uninterrupted worshiping and hearing the word of God, while their little ones are safe and sound.
The child care providers are selected by their servant hearts and will treat the children entrusted to them with the love of Christ.
Kids Club
Here at Calvary Chapel East Mountain, the Kids Club is a mixture of Calvary Kids Club and Awana, we don't use the books or the apparel that these clubs use. We do use the bases for both programs.
Our Kids Club is a bible-based, hands-on, fun-time, learning experience for your child. It's a program that will teach them Biblical, moral principles and values and then helps them learn how to apply these values in their lives. They will be both memorizing verses and learning how to apply these verses in their lives. Jesus Christ is the only one who can help them with the temptations and difficulties that they are going to face - especially when they become teenagers.
Each Wednesday night at 7:00pm we start our activities. We have published a yearly calender that outlines the weekly themes, each child should have the calender so they will know what the theme is. The meeting is a fun time for the children to worship and make new friends.
